5/5 for great zombie killing action. 0/5 for just about everything else. Am I playing a different game?

There was no game I was looking more forward to playing when I first purchased my 360 than Dead Rising. After all, I am a huge Dawn of the Dead fan, which obviously provided inspiration for the plot of this game. It delivers in the sense that you become a killer of zombies of epic proportions. The variety of weapons, as well as the ways of disposing of your enemies is fantastic, and that pretty much sums up the strong points of Dead Rising.

Basically every other aspect seems flawed or unfinished. The most glaring has to be the horribly frustrating AI. Attempting to rescue the numerous stranded civilians feels like a chore as apposed to being fun, they are that unresponsive. Another portion of this game is the timing factor. When playing a game, why force the player rush through the experience? Doing so doesn't allow the player to explore the the surroundings and environments. These two faults make the game almost unplayable at times.
