Absolutely, 100%, the best game I've ever touched.

User Rating: 10 | Dead Space 2 PC
Ok guys. I literally JUST finished the game. And there is one perfect word to describe the game all the way through:

UN-FU*KING-BELIEVABLE!!!

Graphics
The graphics of this game, at least on PC, are hands down the best I've experienced yet. Everything is very smooth. No rough edges, no screen tearing. Not one time throughout the campaign did I ever have one of those 'that looks horrible' moments. This game is so finely polished in this region that everything in the scene, regardless of where you are, looks tremendous. Even little things, like tools on counters, or posters on walls, or what have you just look great.

Gameplay
The gameplay, as far as mechanics, didn't change much from Dead Space. If anything they are a tad bit smoother. Although the mechanics were the same. The gameplay, as a whole, was incredible throughout. I think in this aspect of the game, the devs did an immaculate job switching things up. In the first game, I found that everything was very repetitious. Running back and fourth to the tram seemed to be a big theme. But in DS2, as soon as I thought I knew what I'd be up to next, I was wrong. There was always a twist. Whether it be flying through open space moving gigantic mirrors or riding on top of a massive tunneling machine, it was always fresh. I never felt like 'man I'm doing this AGAIN?!'.

Atmosphere
Although DS did a swell job providing an immersive atmosphere, this time around, sometimes I'd catch myself forgetting that I was, in reality, sitting at my computer desk in my living room. The sounds coming from all over really helped out the immersiveness. There are ALWAYS sounds coming from somewhere. Whether it be someone screaming in the next room from a necromorph attack, or the creakiness of any give object in the environment.

So I could go on for days about the absolute HEAVEN of a game that Dead Space 2 turned out to be. These 3 areas were the main things, while playing, that I really sat back and went 'WOW!'.
If you are like me, and Dead Space was just 'OK' and seemed like it needed a few things, DEFINITELY give this game a shot. You will NOT regret it. In my book, this is the most incredible game I have ever been lucky enough to put some time into.

My score:
1000000/10
