Hate horror/zombie games? Play this anyway, its THAT good.

I put off getting this game. Frankly, despite the excellent reviews I didn't think I was going to like it. It's a horror title, a zombie (basically) title and that just isn't my type of game. Still, I had a 4 day weekend and this was at platinum pricing already so I figured I would pick it up. Well actually, I got this and Prototype. I figured would play this a little until I got sick of it and move on to Prototype. HOWEVER, I was wrong. This is indeed an excellent game. The controls are excellent. The voice acting is excellent, the music, the environmentals the graphics and story are all excellent. I recommend this at FULL PRICE and feel it is quite a bargain at platinum prices.

Note there was one section that got on my nerves, one of the mini-games in the game, but I got past it without throwing the controller so all is well.

Also, take note that on the loading sceens and some reviews you are told to conserve ammo, but then when you play you may notice that early in the game the ammo drops are plentiful. THIS DOES NOT LAST so hoard, hoard, hoard. About midgame I was starting to get annoyed with the lack of inventory. However, this probably was my fault as I was obsessed with getting my "suit" fully upgraded to the detriment of everything else. This did eventually get better, as after the stretch of throwing everything I could pick up at the bad guys, I was eventually able to get on top of my ammo shortage problem. However, I did regret not hoarding early and just leaving things dropped on the ground. And that was even with me not understanding (until chapter two) that you could smash open the boxes with the glowy green marker on them. I will know better if I do go back and play game + which I am VERY tempted to do.
