Amazing Survival Horror Game, I recommend this game to people that love Survival Horror Game

User Rating: 9.5 | Dead Space PS3
Story: 9/10

Great plot with a bit of twists here and there. In short, you play as Isaac, an engineer along with a few crew members to find out what happened to USG Ishimura (a huge mining spaceship) and to one of your partners who's been working there. Suddenly, your ship got a problem and landed inside the Ishimura where your nightmare begins. From the beginning until the end, you will explore the mining spaceship whilst trying to find a way out. As you progresses, you noticed that all crews in the Ishimura were dead and transformed into Necromorphs; ugly disfigured walking flesh that will not spare any humans in their community. You blast your way through till the end and soon find out the truth about what really happened. The way they ended the story was great. Overall, you're playing a great game where the story was written by Hollywood script writers.

Gameplay: 9/10

Typical of survival horror games with a lot of weapons to select from. The best thing is all weapons are actually mining tools. Fighting deadly monster using your mining tools, huh? Well this is not just regular tools. You can upgrade all weapons to inflict more damage while increasing its capacity; you can also upgrade your suit for more defenses.

The game is using Resident Evil 4 point of view (over the shoulder view) and it's a good thing. The in-game tutorial makes it even easier for you to be familiar with the controls. Isaac is now communicating with crew members via the electronic conference (a small screen in front of him). You will be collecting Rigs to unlock new items and weapons.

The important thing to know when playing this is game is the word 'dismemberment'. You need to dismember the Necromorphs body parts in order to completely kill them. Cut their legs will make them crawl at you with hands while dismembering everything and you're safe to proceed. The surprise element in this game is above par. You will be surprised on how the enemies will jump in font of you and starts waving their hand (kind of like a sharp blade) or when they ran inside the vents without any reasons. The next thing you know, you are pinned by 2-3 Necromorphs in a corridor.

Stomping and swinging your weapons are melee attacks that will not bored you easily, though sometimes the camera angel during melee attacks is rather annoying. This didn't really bother me. Oh, did I mention that Necromorphs (few types) can run faster than an Olympic runner, charging at you like hell! Well, they sure did.

The vacuum and zero gravity level are the best level design in the game. In vacuum are, you can appreciate the beauty of outer space. You also can hear Isaac breathing in and out. In zero gravity level, you can make that 100m jump at any directions. Debris floating and so will the enemies. Yup! You need to fight them in these two levels. What do you expect, a clear freeway?

Sound and voice acting: 10/10

Superb! The eerie sound of Necromorphs lurking at the corners or in the vents, the music, it was perfect. The voice acting was so realistic as if you're watching actors and actresses performed live, not some 9 year old kids reading scripts. Thumbs up EA!

Graphics: 9/10

Probably one of the best looking graphics I have ever seen in any PS3 games The graphics looked very vivid and convincing. If you look at Isaac's suit closely, you even see the threads. The looks of disfigured Necromorphs and beautifully designed characters makes you feel glad that you bought the game. Each levels was nicely designed too. It was dark and realistic. Not to mention the wrecking parts of ships floating and the debris, I was amazed by it again and again.

Replay value: 9/10

The game does have trophies, and they are always fun to get
