The nightmare begins when your ship "the kelion" docks up with ishimura, they thought it will be only a repair mission. You get separated immediately from your crew, the beginning of the game is also a quick tutorial that tell`s you how to use your suit and other helpful devices . From here you are always in touch with some crew members, till the end of the game . The game is awesome to play after smoking a joint at nighttime with the volume up or better a headset, you will experience some real panic like "point fixation" or freezing up . As you doing mission all across ishimura`s decks you will fight for survival, repairing important ship part such as the communication array, gravity and docking stuffs, carrying things, is important to save the game when you have a chance. The equipments is upgradable by using "power nodes", the most important to upgrade is your suit, then upgrade the plasma cutter they are very useful till end. Through the game you will encounter little monsters like space babys and spidery things, medium such as humanoids necrohomorphs , the big ones like brutes and the real nasty ones like bosses. After you `l start the game in someway u waned to finish it quick, this is one of the most terrifying and disturbing gameplay such as like F.E.A.R.
