Dear Esther is a game, actually it's not a game at all, it's more like a story, than an actual game. You play as a nameless person who every now and then talks about his feelings and past. He is talking to Esther and you, the player, when he narrates. You are stuck in The Hebrides (west coast of Scotland) and are making your way through the island. With different dialogue in every play through this adds some replay value. However the game is very short, and could take only 90mins to finish on your first playthrough. Sadly there aren't any collectibles to find that add any replay value, however it's terrific soundtrack by Jessica Curry, and narration by Nigel Carrington make this worth playing. Don't expect mind-blowing action sequences as there aren't any, as this is a story not a game. Fortunately it's Xbox 360 controller compatible, if you aren't familiar with your keyboard and mouse.
Overall, this is a short but sweet game, with a soundtrack worth buying and gripping narration, this is an excellent game. This is Dear Esther.
