death's gambit has good hook and good presentation on it's side but has deep flaw
it has a clear influence from dark soul interms of combat and if you equip locket as a selection item
at start of the build you get see the story of knight sorun and boss you encounter later in the game
each time you die
the skill and spells do add a layer to combat
the flaw that i mentioned is upon death you lose you estus flask instead of souls which you can recover
by trail and error which ditracts from exploration and the point of metriodvania and if you lost it in
boss room if you are underlevel you have to halt your progress to grind souls to recover your
Phoenix Plume ( estus flask) other than that there is no other way around it it is really tiring
