Defjam Rapstar has an community where you can post videos of you preforming a song. You can also view other users videos.Its a very nice thing because you can interact with people and even challenge them to a rap battle.
The career mode is pitch perfect for a starting game like this. It has different stages that you can unlock if you have completed the challenges and have done very good in all the songs by stage. The turning point in career mode is that you can practise the song you would like to rap later on and even check the rank of other players on the according song.
There is another mode call frestyle where you have beats by the most popular produce in the buisness today (Cool&Dre,Dj Khalil and many more). They wont provide you the lyrics you will have to compose your own song and on a plus point you can put sound effects.
On a negative side, I wish they had more modes, more songs by 2pac , Biggie, Eazy-e, Ice cube, The game and many more. But then again there are all ways new songs in the DefJam RapStar Store that you can purchase for a small fee of 160 microsoft points. Furthermore, there should be more sound effects and a polished gameplay .
Over all, Its a must buy if you love hip hop and rap because it has artists like: 2pac, biggie, Snoop dogg, Dr dre, Run-Dmc, Public enemy, kanye west and many many more. I have spent countless hours on this game because I love rap and hip hop and it is a very fun game and the price is right.
