A great remake of a great game.

Defender is a remake of the old arcade classic. It is pretty much the old Defender but in 3d. In the game you play as a nameless defender pilot recruit. The aliens you must fight are called the Manti, these weird bug guys. In this game you have a choice of 6 ships, starting with two, but gradually unlocking the rest. After every mission you get points to spend upgrading the weapons on each of the ships. There are many different objectives in the game. You will have to protect bases, save colonists, or other tedious tasks like bringing power to all of your base turrets. Again going back to SW: RS, sometimes when you have to protect your base it is incredibly difficult because you are being swarmed and you can only be in one place ai one time. The game took a lot of time to get used to because of the controls. To go forward you have to hold down the R button, but not all the way. Same with reverse except it is the L button. I really enjoyed this game and any fan of the arcade game should try it.
