Regular war FPS game. If you want something new and innovative, this is not for you. Could use some improvements.

User Rating: 6.8 | Delta Force: Black Hawk Down PS2
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is just a regular war FPS game. With no innovative features, and lacking more additions to the few cool features it does have, such as grenade launchers in M16 and M4, team mates you can command, it isn't a game that will keep you immersed in the gaming world.
It's hard to shoot enemies on most open ground battles, since they can shoot from very far away, and it's not really fun at all since your team mates will probably shoot him down before you notice he was there. Missions that take place inside buildings and caves offer a little more action, but don't really offer much room for strategy or planning. Taking cover is useless in most missions, as enemies are usually in very hard to spot places and will sometimes inevitably end up behind you making it hard to get any cover at all.
The tutorial doesn't teach you anything but the very basics. But then again you probably won't use anything but your rifle, maybe your secondary weapon if you run out of ammo, and explosives when they are required for a mission. This makes the cool grenade launchers and the variety of grenades pretty useless.
The game's story is pretty empty, offering only a few cut scenes that show little about the characters in the game. Graphics and sound are pretty good, but you probably won't get to appreciate them much because of all the other bad aspects of the game.

Overall this is a good spot-and-shoot game that may keep you entertained for a little while, but needs some major improvements.
