Great Shooter that Improves on the Space Invaders Formula!

Back when Space Invaders and Space Armada were popular, game companies tried hard to spin their winning gameplay into new games. Demon Attack is one of those games that really excelled at making the vertical (no-scrolling) shoot-em-up feel novel again.

You are a small ship that moves left and right along the bottom of the screen. Different kinds of ships will move towards you, each with their own flight path and attack patterns. As you progress through the levels, they will speed up.

Imagic always struck me as a company with unique graphics. I could pick out an Imagic game without ever seeing the box or the load screen. One of the best examples of maximizing the hardware is in the demon boss ship level. You have to shoot the shield away from a large devil's head, then shoot into the gap that moves back and forth. The sound is also excellent (for its time).

You'll find yourself restarting over and over, trying to get a high score...
