when i first saw the trailer of DS on YouTube i REALLY didn't give a s*** about it and never thought i 'd get this game someday because i simply hated it; anyway when this game earned GOTY 2009 i said to myself WTF: this crap beats uncharted 2( i had VERY high hopes that uncharted was going to win) at that time i decided to buy this game immediately though i was a bit depressed knowing the extreme difficulty of the game( thanks to GS the bad ) but i thought: how hard it's gonna be? i never got stuck in a game before except for tomb raider 2! yeah i know it's a very old game with lots of dust on it but that was one of the hardest games i'v ever played. back to DS: after hacking through the boleterian palace for the first time and almost near phalanx lair i saw the blue dragon sitting on the edge of a hill waiving it's tail up and down and the red dragon is standing on a higher ground doing nothing except for breathing fire when i come close, of course i noticed the shiny items there and straight away i told myself: "those got to be VALUABLES and must have for me" after a trick with a red dragon on the bridge i ran back to collect the goods and the next thing i see is a screen appearing with "YOU DIED" on it and that's because i got struck by the blue dragon tail when i was trying to take the item under it! just one hit ended my journey and sent me back to the start with half health, all enemies respawned, no collected souls, no healing grass, no nothing. finaly! DEMON'S SOULS SAYS TO THE PLAYER: i'm not reckless fights but tactic ones, i don't have checkpoints, i'm so punishing if you die, i'm gonna make you curse like crazy and definitely i'm way harder than any game you'v played. i'm in my second playthrough now stuck with the maneater but hopefully i'll get by...
