Its time to kill some Demon's and capture there Souls.
First off the game is pretty hard, I do not find it as bad as people are saying but I do a little bit of everything with my character (melee,range,mage) so ofcourse ill find the game easier then someone who is a full blown mage or warrior. That does not mean it is easy tho >_> it is still very hard and gets harder when you do a New Game +. You have to know how a certain enemy attacks, you have to study there movements and memorize their tactics. You also have to remember that when you die in Demon's Souls it is your fault, this game is not cheap and you will die by your own mistakes... alot. Maybe you were not paying attention to the surroundings and fell off a cliff, or maybe you got cocky after beating a boss and died on a simple enemey because you did not block in time or dodge there attacks.
Gameplay- The gameplay to Demon's is so fluid and so much fun you cannot help but imagine it any other way. You block, swing your sword and attack or cast magic like any other rpg, how ever in Demon's there is alot more stradegy behind it. You cant just simpley run up to a foe and swing your sword like a crazy fanboy bashing another video game system. No you have to study your enemey and this game consists of trial and error. the whole game is about dying because if you never died in this game you will not learn from your mistakes, so do not worry about dying its a part of the game and you learn from your mistakes. Combat is just smooth I really cant put it any other way, you can equip a sword and shield and also a talisman and a bow!. Stradegy is a part of what you will take into combat so always think of your enemey. The game is very linear like Fable 2 linear but with alot of exploration involved. You cannot think 1 demention when playing Demon's Souls, think outside the box! there are 5 acts to go to and each of thoughs acts will have atleast 3 levels, alot have 1-4 though. This is not an open world game like Fallout 3 or Oblivion so do not go into thinking that. Ofcourse how could I not mention the boss fights.. I have never in my life played a game with such epic boss fights, I mean the whole game is so rewarding when you kill an enemy but man when you kill a 50 foot tall dragon you really get a sense of acomplishment and thoughs boss fight are just so damn fun that you could play the game just for them!
Demon's Souls looks amazing, it has such amazing graphics that will leave you speech less at times. The game like I said before is very linear how ever it feels huge with how the levels are drawn out. The makers of this game put alot of time into making you feel like it was an open world RPG. The gothic theme to this game is just great, this is not a happy go lucky game, it is very dark and gothic but so damn amazing :D.
Story- Sadly my only big complaint about the game there is no story. When you start the game you get a cool cutscene which tells you a little story and then you are set off on your own to defeat all the Demon's and put the "old one" to sleep. There is a story but like most Rpg's you have a story for maybe the first 5 mins of the game and then they throw you into the world doing quests and such.
So if you loved Diablo 2 or maybe even WoW then you might find Demon's Souls to be an amazing video game experience, and so far the best game I have played all year (even better then Batman :AA O_o) There is alot of replay value to be Demon's Souls if you love to re play games and the online works is pretty much built into the game and it is some unique online btw. Sadly the online can ruin your experience a little because there is a bad glitch concering with world tendecey which is basically the stage of the world if its corrupted it will be black and if it is pure it will be white. Anyway the glitch makes it where if you play online the tendecey'es will reset to neutral and that can be a problem for someone who wants to get certain items only obtainable by a certain tendecey of a world.
I hope you enjoy Demon's Souls as much as I did, it is truely an amazing game and my 13th favorite game ever. I mean I loved Diablo 2 which is up there on my top 20 favorite games of all time, but Demon's Souls IMO is way more fun then Diablo because it is cooler playing your character and attacking with buttons then to just click here to attack :D plus did I mention how epic the boss fights are!
