Derek Jeter Pro Baseball 2005 is one of the most enjoyable and replayable mobile games for any genre not just sports. Even those with just a passing interest in baseball would find the game interesting and well worth the few dollars it cost. The actual gameplay in DJPB 05 allows you to control batting, pitching and fielding. Each one is fun in its own right. Unlike Jamdat Baseball 2005, DJPB 05 uses a batting interface more similar to console games and the result is a more fun interactive system of batting. Pitching is challenging and strikeouts are hard to come by making them all the more rewarding. Fielding can be done manually, automatically or manually assisted. DJPB 05 features a exhibition mode, season mode, playoffs mode, and quick play. DJPB 05 only major flaw is that it lacks the MLB and MLBPA license meaning players have fake names and so do teams. But this can easily be looked past once you start hitting homers out the park and your teamates hi-five each other at the plate. DJPB 05 is a amazingly fun and long lasting mobile title that deserves a spot in any baseball fans library.
