Not amazing like Desperados 1 but still it's a good game and becomes more enjoyable after the first missions

First off, I'm a huge fan of Desperados 1 and that is my favorite game, but you should know this game is very different with Desperados 1. In this game You can shoot around like in action game and use of tactics is available also, so there is no comparison to other game, especially in western game genre there isn't any similar game.
I think if this game released with other name(not Desperados), this could have achieved more success and maybe everybody named it innovative for mix the commandos style strategy with first-person action games. But when a game carry a big and successful title like Desperados, everybody compared it with original Desperados(which was excellent). Maybe if Atari didn't change gameoplay too much and only improved graphics with a new story, they could have achieved more success. Anyway, if you want to enjoy this game, first you should forget Desperados 1 and don't expect something quite like that. Desperados 2 is different than Desperados WDOA but still it is very playable.
The graphics are nice and producers did well work to create new 3D engine but all environments look some kind of pale(not colorful like Desperados 1). None of the voice actors from Desperados 1 is in Desperados 2. I really miss the voices from Desperados 1. As a whole sound effects are weak but music of menu and some musics in missions are good and remind old western movies.
Adding action mode was not bad idea if it was complement for commandos style gameplay, not the main part of game. In this game you have to use action mode in most of battles and sometimes you feel you play an action game instead Desperados.
The storyline is simple and not very attractive. A bunch of bad guys are looking for trouble. so they kill cooper's brother, and now: cooper's revenge. OK that's simple, isn't that?!
the AI is very stupid and takes its force in big numbers. Gameplay has some bugs but if you like this kind of games and if you have some patience, after 5-6 missions this game becomes more enjoyable and you feel compelled to play it out of your own desire.
Overall Desperados 2 is a good game but it's not quite.
