The same game has D1, nothing new to see. Maps are big and empty, maps feel lifeless. With the changes to balance PVP and PVE, your level doesn't mean anything. You could be at level 5 and do the same damage as a player at level 20. Exotic drops are so often that it's not exciting and when you do get one, it's most likely going to be an item you've had 3 times already.
D2 is simply boring, levelling up doesn't mean anything, weapons feel flat, the story again isn't there.
