Upon release of the new game Destroy All Humans (DAH) I played it for 5 straight hours. Not only is it addicting with free roam but extremely funny to. You will run across different quirky phrases said by you and as you dig into the minds of others. I will separate the review into to main parts. Crypto and the Saucer. Crypto: As Crypto you will start with the basic 2 weapons: Zap-o-matic and anal probe gun. Both of which can be very fun and interesting to use. You also get to use your Brain to control your surroundings (PK). With PK you can life people and later on things like cars and tanks. Read Thoughts, Extract brains, and you can also make certain humans sleep and distract by doing things like the chicken dance or act like a monkey. As crypto you goal is to extract brain stems from the earth scum. You can go about this three ways. First is to kill them then extract there brain, second is to extract it whilst there still living and third a fully charged anal probe will usually take off there head and give you chance of an easy stem. Take in mind the third only works on weaker minded. Crypto is also outfitted with a jetback for easy heights and speeds. Saucer: While in the saucer you start with two basic weapons also. The Destructobeam and Abuct-o-ray. With the Desructobeam you can take down whole city blocks fairly fast but the saucer missions go fairly slow and can get very repetitive until later when you have a much more powerful arsenal. As the saucer you goal is just one thing, to Destroy All Humans. Overall: The graphics of DAH are fairly average. Cutscenes have a nice cartoony feel and add to the overall 50's feel and funny style. Sound is also something the game exceels at fairly nicely with nice voice acting and good special effects. Though you may run across a few glitches in the game where you will get stuck or lag a bit here and there. Of course this stuff can be overlooked. The extra missions which are available to do in free roam get kind of boring after your 3rd town though. Mainly because they almost always involve destroy this, race to here, and other small goal. Your reward for winning the side missions runs from about 150 to 300 DNA. Overall the game is worth a buy if your the type who just likes to mess around and cause destruction. Because if you were to just rush through the missions you could do it in about 15hours maybe less.
