Rent this funny 1950's Sci-fi send up, but don't wast your money buying it.
However, to confirm Gamespots findings...
This game is instantly funny, with the weirdo music and classic cartoon details. The game is a very basic send up that can help fill a few dull hours of your life. However the game soon becomes boring, and I found my self putting it back in the box and on the shelf for a rainy day; hence this game should be rented and is not worth its asking price of £19.99.
Crypto, you an alien, is sent to earth to collect DNA. It’s a fun idea, blasting humans and tossing about Cows etc, but the novelty wears off. The 3rd person perspective lets you see Crypto run around his 1950’s town reeking havoc, on the poor unsuspecting towns folk. Hilarity can be found when reading people minds; there are some rude adult innuendos in there too. However, again, they become repetitive, as do the missions.
To quickly summarise, the graphics are plain and simple, but smooth. Game play is simple and effective. Story is no more than average. The game obviously lacks replay value. I’d either buy this for your 4year-old kids or 30+ unkle, its no good for the teenage market.
The game is fairly narrow. Yes many of us are spoilt by GTA games with the roaming nature, but it also lacks in variety; I mean there is only Crypto that you get to play as. There should be more players and side missions.
