Choices actually matter

In recent years we've seen a trend of game developers adding dialogue choices but personally this has many down sides; a lot of them don't have that much impact to the story and the options usually are not very clear just by adding a single word doesn't necessarily reflect what the actual outcome might be.

I am not a fan of choices in games I enjoy a well written plot, I do see the appeal and I actually see some audiences being drawn to this but is not something I enjoy and it has been a trend specially in RPG games - with that being said, if there is a game where this sub-genre makes sense is indeed Detroit: Become Human.
I have to agree that the amount of work put into all the possible timelines is fantastic, and one trend that I do enjoy are these type of movie / games, where you do experience some of the gaming but in actuality it's more of a movie than a hardcore game, mostly because you are restricted to the actions and the world you are exploring.

It's not something that everyone will enjoy but I do, it's a fantastic achievement in motion capture with the real actors, realistic motion and graphics overall. While the plot is interesting and for sure sparks a needed and maybe not so distant conversation in our society, is at the same time an overused one specially in the movie / TV industry, maybe not so much in the gaming world but there are tons of content on the AI topic.
The one that pops to mind right away and for which I drawn an immediate comparison is Westworld - so in a way I felt the story while original has some repetitive elements in it.

It's still a unique experience, if you can play it in full specs is a great ride!
