Awesome game. Well worth the wait.

I am, like many of you, one of the people who played both the first and second game in the series. And when I first heard that a new Deus Ex game was going to be released I was ecstatic.
Of course I was a bit apprehensive too. I've seen games being resurrected (Duke Nukem anyone?) and I know how horribly wrong it can go. And for a franchise like Deus Ex I was terrified that somehow this was going to turn out badly.
Fortunately though I tossed my inhibitions aside and pre-ordered. And i have to admit that it was worth it. It's probably the best game I've bought in a long time. Instant classic!
Now to the actual game. The main protagonist is very well written. You feel connected to him. Very few games pull this off properly and in order to immerse yourself in a game I find this completely necessary. The way the missions are set out although set in slightly confined areas give you a sense of freedom. And the fact that you choose what upgrades you want give you the chance to play the game exactly the way you want to. I for one love the hacking aspect. Turning turrets and robots against my enemies is always a favourite of mine. I guess I'm evil that way. But knowing that I will play through this game over and over again I will change around things just to see what else I can do. Which brings me to another point. This game does not need a multi-player aspect. Because it brings so much re-playability. It's a game that will keep on giving, and so that makes it good value for money.
This the part where I should start talking about faults but the one or two crashes I experienced are about the only thing I found wrong with it and that wasn't really a problem or fault. I think that issue came down to my pc. So really i don't think i can actually find anything to complain about. I would have liked a longer game but I think the amount of game time was more than enough and the fun along the way made it an amazing game to get into.
All in all brilliant game. Congratulations to the developers and now i can't wait for the next one.
