Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of the greatest action rpgs out there, but is made imperfect due to graphical bugs.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an action rpg with well done stealth mechanics, hacking, gunplay ,and leveling. It also happens to tell one of the greatest stories experienced in years. But terrible screen glitches, framerate drops, and even worse facial animations distract from the immersive gameplay.

The story starts out great and revolves around warring corporations, conspiracies, and political struggles regarding augmentations. The story remains interesting throughout and the ending(s) will make you think about yourself, the whole of humanity, and what drives us as humans.

The gameplay is exceptional, every situation can be overcome with many different tactics. More of these tactics can become accessible through leveling up and choosing augmentations which allow you to increase damage resistance, survive fall damage, hack increasingly difficult terminals, throw refrigerators, and much much more. The stealth elements complement the game by letting you solve situations without being seen or heard and take people out with sweet stealth attacks. The gunplay is adaptive and lets you fire from first person, and take cover and fire from third person.

The graphics are good, but not great. Environmental textures are good, weapon textures are very good, but character models are lacking. Sometimes while looking out a window or going to a larger area will cause a framerate drop, as in the game is normally around 30 fps but drops to about 15 fps, it remains easy to leave the area, but it is distracting and breaks immersion. Even though the graphics aren't the best, the black and gold HUD and environmental coloration adds to the dark, sleek feel of the game and provides excellent atmosphere.

The game also sounds great, the soundtrack, like the coloration, adds to the dark, sleek feel of the game. Sound effects are very sharp,and they sound awesome. The sound of footsteps are nerve racking and gunshots will make you jump.

Overall, Deus Ex: Human Revolution will grab you and won't let you go until you've beaten it, the graphics are a little short-coming but the gameplay much more than makes up for it.
