still a classic
Now it has now come to PS2 and it is still an excellent game, and surprisingly it is very easy and simple to get to grips with. Accessing your inventory is just a case of pressing square and pressing up and down on the D-pad to scroll through your weapons and other various skill levels.
Speaking of skill levels, you couldn't really call this game a FPS as it has certain RPG (role-playing game) elements. You can interact with the other characters that you meet in the game. Also you get awarded skill points by doing certain tasks, with these skill points you can use them to enhance you skills in things like medicine (using health packs) combat, computers, lock picking etc.
This game is also far from linear, the levels manage to be very open and interactive, also you can manipulate computer systems so that you can alter security bots so that you don't get attacked by them, disable gun turrets and cameras so that you can do you mission objectives more easily.
The storyline is also impressive, it is set in the future where you are part of a anti-terrorist coalition, in a world doomed by the grey death, a world wide plaque, causing human population to struggle, it really is a great storyline, and this game is likely to keep you playing for months, and you will also be coming back for more due to the range of options you can take throughout the game.
The only downfall to this game and costing its 10 out of 10 score is the graphics, they tend to jerk and they do show there age, but that defiantly doesn't spoil this deep dark and dangerous game.
A very fine and very long game indeed. You must buy this.
