First of all to get it out its not bad at all there are just alot of things that most players didn't expect and wanted to be in it... Lets start with the all new combat system: First of all you got yourself a brand new combat system very hard getting used to it. You have an auto-lock on system which has to do alot with it first of all Dante has new combo's mostly done by pressing /_\ button the weird thing is that you must not hold lock on to do different combo's for example when you press triangle twice and then a quick input to any direction of the left anologe stick and keep pressing triangle you can do a 6 hit combo there are in total 4 different combo's a 3,4,5 and 6 hit combo... Second thing is the auto-lock on that I mentioned before since you cannot turn it off it can be quite anoyying because when you need to hit a switch like in mission 9 when there is a counting down timer and bird like enemies called Puia's are flying above you and you automaticly lock on to them its a real pain in the butt to work with it... If you do lock on you will do the normal 4 hit combo's along with High Time and Stinger Now lets talk weapons: Dante has 3 swords Lucia has 3 blades... but they all have the same moves nuffin special except one is strong one is long and the last one is balanced. The characters also have distance weapons. The first thing you notice when you play it is that they deal way too much damage on normal you can basicly take down every opponent without even getting close... besides that Dante's gun have these supossed to be "Magic" bullets which lift the enemy up with just a few shots... Although you have a sword alot of enemies also attack from a distance or are to far away for a sword hit or might even fly which means that you'll probaly not go jumping and slashing... Next up Upgrading: In the game you will be able to upgrade your weapons in terms of power well it says so but it doesn't make the weapons stronger against other things then enemies. Also that once you upgraded all your weapons to max there is nothing that can stop you. Last part Ranks: The one thing in this game that stood out normally I get A's and S's on DMC3 here you will most of the time get a B or a C or even a D. A's are rare and S's are hard to get. My verdict: Its an ok Action game but as a DMC game its lacking the bosses are not realistic and the game it self is way too easy compared to DMC1 rent it first and then see or get it very cheap. Also you can't buy or upgrade your moves. The only thing that makes the game better is the input of Trish as a secret character with all the DMC1 moves and the classic Lock and Load battle theme when you play as DMC1 Dante
