Not a Horrible game, and not a Awesome.

User Rating: 7.7 | Devil May Cry 2 PS2
I played the first Devil May Cry. Of course I loved it. Fast action, Great graphics, awesome boss battles and great storyline. I beat the game like six times one on each difficultie (yes there are six difficulties and hard as F***). anyways few moons passed and i got wind that they are coming out with a Devil May Cry 2. In my frame of mind i was like awesome. I watched the trailer to it and i got excited, so many new features, and enemys It looks awesome.
I bought DMC2 while after it was released. I read the reviews from multiple magazines and multiple websites. So i bought it anyways. As i played the first level. I noticed that Dante looked different. He looked younger and skinnier hmmmmm? I got deeper in the game i noticed new moves in Dantes Arsenal like he can run up walls, and run along side a wall. when your coming down on a enemy you can turn upside down and abd make it rain bullets on the enemy. many more "Matrix" moves. Cool. The Devil Transformation has a new system, where you do have it but you can equip new items to give the fire element, Electric element, Heal Element, and even a boost of speed.
All the weapons from the first game is here with a addition of some new ones like Machine Guns, a Rocket Launcher, and new Melee Weapons such as a Katana and a Fat Bladed Sword.
These Features gives it the positive feedback. Now for the bad. First off. The game looks really good graphics, animation. but the gameplay...... It has a feel that it has been slowed down. When Dante swings his sword, when a enemy attacks, it seems to be slowed down. fighting the enemy takes really no strategy just sit back and shoot. Same goes with bosses. No strategy just sit back and shoot and you kill em all. No strategy like in the first one, which makes it extremely easy which equals to no replay. The story line is pretty much random, Trish no where to be found and it has nothing to do with Mundus. And also the storyline moves way too fast to follow. One scene you are fighting a boss. The next scene your riding a motorcycle with no explanation on how you found the bike.
Overall. It seems that capcom in the first game had a good balance of gameplay and style. In this one capcom focused heavely on the style of the game and let everything else droped. This game is fun but for the first time you buy it. I suggest you keep it for the collection.
