Ok first things first what is the key to a great game....a great character and Dante is just that he's stylish, he's tough....he got the moves and the attitude...he got a bit thin looking and mediocre in DMC 2 but he's back well actually its a prequel so technically he was already there but chronilogically speaking in terms of games made HE'S BACK! and whats more he's back on top form. The high octane slashing and shooting combination is excellent, Dante's moves are slick and the new way of choosing your specialist skill that levels up as you use it, adds an element of stratergy and a hint of RPG to the mix .... The difficulty has been ramped up to the level it was back in the day of the original devil may cry too its not an easy game....at times some of the bosses are fiendishly difficult and cruel... I am now playing the game on hard mode and it's no small task. The beauty is that when you start it seems hard....you look foolish, you fight bosses and you'll take a thrashing then something clicks...you get good...and it feels great. The characters are great and the cut scenes simply ooze charm and show off cool killer moves that would make any action movie blush and slink off into a dank corner. You just cant help but admire the some of the smoothe moves these guys pull off. Also as you progress through the game you inevitably pick up new weapons....one you find yourself with is an electrical guitar weapon called Nevan....possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen LET'S ROCK. This is a great title a much needed return to form for the series....its a solid action game that starts touch and can get even harder for those who want a replay challenge for greater value for money
Dante is back and he is back with a bang. DMC never looked so good. After an abysmal performance in DMC 2, DMC 3 really shines. The game is pretty much between normal and hard and could get a bit frustrating to new come... Read Full Review
