The best game I ever played
I reveal in a challenging game, and though i thought this game would be like no others, i was even more plesantly surprised then i thought i would be! This game prooved more of a challenge on normal mode then any other game on hard mode in my history of playing games, and thats a lot coming from a guy who spends practically all his time playing the hardest and funnest games available.
This game shocked me more then once with its gameplay and well thought out bosses, it was amazing to go up against a giant 3 headed dog that was actually fast inrelation to its size for once, and two headless swordsmen who used actual tactics to counter your every move.
The bosses were good, sure, even great! but the best part was the constant rush of difficulty and challenge that forced you to step up to the plate, or give up, aswell as the fact that this game doesnt wait until the final level to deliver this rush of intesity, no, it gets you button mashing for your life off the very beginning. The very first boss, the soul keeper, was one of the hardest bosses i had ever fought in my life! Most of my friends who rented or even own the game couldnt even get past him for the first week, to the point where they returned the game to blockbuster early or returned it for another 'less' challenging game all together.
The other great thing about this game that i love is the storyline, if youve played the first devil may cry, you will understand exactly where i am coming from. Devil May Cry 3 takes place as a prelude to Devil May Cry 1, which i found quite interesting. It is amazing to me that they were able to incorperate so many things into this one game, as much as i didnt like the idea of "missions" seperating the gameplay, i suppose it would have been the only way to properly organize it.
The very mood of the game was astonishing, in some rooms it gave me that eery sense that i was being watched, or it envoked the emotion that i simply wanted to beat the living hell out of everything near me!!!
For those of you who are looking for a game that provides an extreme challenge, and gets harder over 3 even harder difficulties! This game is for you! If you can deal with redoing missions that are insainly hard, and bet on doing just that, then you should get this game. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with Devil May Cry 3:Dante's Awakening.
