A whole new kind of Dante.

User Rating: 10 | Devil May Cry 3 PS2
Devil May Cry! The best game that the PS2 can offer! The series is the greatest I have ever played. Despite the extremely crappy Devil May Cry 2, the first game was simply amazing. Then, we are treated wit hthis masterpiece. Go back in time to where Dante is just beginning to start his demon-hunting business. When his twin brother turns to evil and threatens to unleash Hell on the Earth. You are equipped with many classic weapons like the shotgun and Dante's handy pistol, Ebony and Ivory, with a sword that would make the devil cry. The bosses are highly imaginative, like Cerberus, guardian of ice. His boss fight is one that makes the series what it is, a guy killing big demons with a smile on his face. You get new weapons, like the ice nun-chucks, and a new fighting style system, which starts you off with Sword Master, Gun Slinger, and Trickster with two additional unlockable styles. The graphics are amazing and it makes the game even more superior to other shoot-em-up games. Controls are simple and it doesn't take long at all to learn how to pull off all the moves that you buy in the game. The voice acting and music is professionally done and the fight scene music really pulls you into the Devil May Cry world. A lot of demons are based on the 7 deadly sins, meaning Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, and Greed. The only flaw in the game is the occasional bad camera angles, as when you are running around the castle, solving puzzles. There is a lot of back tracking and usually that would be boring, if it weren't for all the respawning demons that makes back tracking something to look forward to. Dante will meet a power-hungry mortal who has quite the number of sins on his shoulders and Dante has competition, a beautiful vengeful woman named Lady. This game will really show you that Devil May Cry can't be beat.
