Here is a breif look at Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
The main enemy in this at the start is Dante's twin brother, Vergil; remember him from DMC 1? Who is hell-bent on opening the gates to the demon world and sending the human world into darkness. But not if Dante has anything to do with it. You will start the game in the Devil May Cry office, where Dante will be attacked by a swarm of demons. Starting off with what has to be the coolest cut scene in the series, involving rock music, demon surfing and a whole lot of slick fighting, your goal is to destroy all the demons that surround you. From here on in it is all about killing everything in your path and stopping Vergil.
There are several new characters to this game. The first you’ll encounter is Arkham, Vergil’s little sidekick. Half of his face appears deformed and he always carries around a red book. The second new character is ‘Lady’, a human demon hunter who will try to kill both Dante and Vergil. All the characters are connected to one another, but I won’t go and spoil it, you’ll have to go and play it to find out.
As always in new games there is a whole new range of baddies for you to hack and slash at to your hearts content. Some of them will die within 2 swipes of your sword, whereas others will need a lot more skill if you are to be victorious. But there are still a few classics in the game.
The graphics stay the same through out the game, so no special cut scenes here. But don’t let that put you off as the graphics are excellent. The game itself runs very smoothly, with no long loading screens (God how we all hate those) and no jerky game play. This game makes for good playing.
My only problem with the game is that, to me, the story does not follow smoothly. Firstly, in DMC1, when you first encounter Trish, Dante claims to have lost both his mother and Vergil to evil 20 years ago. But hang on, here you are DMC3, and you are fighting Vergil, no mention of that either, but that is just me being picky.
All in all this is a very good game and I highly recommend to everyone to go out and get yourself a copy.
