A Complete Series Resurrection
Devil May Cry 2 released shortly after, and had it not been the sequel to the aforementioned game it would have been fairly decent. Unfortunately, DMC2 didn't manage to surpass the first game; it didn't come anywhere close.
Devil May Cry 3, on the other hand, is a complete series resurrection. It is also a breath of fresh air in a time when developers are too scared to challenge their consumers.
Yes, Devil May Cry 3 is hard. But should the player stick with it, the combination of gameplay experience and in-game upgrades make the game much more enjoyable. Giving up early in this game is will destroy a game experience that can be found nowhere else.
