Amazing in nearly all regards, this is action-adventuring at it's peak.

User Rating: 9.5 | Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition PS2
DMC 3 SE is a remake of sorts with bonuses and extras that just multiply it's awesomeness. The original DMC 3 was already really good and this 20 dollar new edition is wel worth it.

Gameplay- 10
In the beginning you will be unimpressed; you have two weapons, limited abilities and a small health meter which goes away after like 4 hits. The basic gameplay and controls will come quick but there are many layers waiting to be unearthed. Once you settle down and set up your tent in the huge land mass that is DMC 3's gameplay you will be conquering and kicking butt with finesse and grace. This comes after completing the game, getting upgrades, weapons, abilities and moves all with the red-orb currency that is quite abundant and easily farmed/milked. So after you beat this fantastic game and get almost all the stuff, you will open a giant, deep, fluid combat system that you will not realize fully until a few hours have gone by. You will realize the infinte combos, crazy-combo attacks and incredibly awe-inspiring moves and abilities. What do want to do? dash attack in your enemies face and whack him with ice-nunchuks? juggle him in the air while you float with him and attack with your guns and swords? constantly attack and jump off your enemy with divine greaves? The amount of weapons and moves in DMC 3 will never be fully tapped into, all of this power flows from your brain, through the ps2 controller and onto the screen and is extremely responsive, elegant and just downright cool.

Graphics- 9 great looking game, no slowdown and good frame rate, possibly the best cutscenes ever, cool gothic themed world and enemies and Dante/Vergil (your characters) both look great with multiple costumes too. Sound- 9
The music is superb and never gets annoying, voice acting also sounds great and your weapons all make great whooshes, crushs, smacks, bangs and explosions.

Value- 10
main game will take about 15 hours, then u unlock Vergil who just owns everything and is a blast to play as, an endurance mode of sorts and some other unlockables. Then you have the combat system which is always fun and you will always be finding new moves and combos.

Tilt- 9 ... w/e, a 9 is fitting
