Stylish, cocky to the core & a little too easy.

DMC 5 brings in a stylish host of game play with varied weapons and combos to use. The best part is you get to play with Nero, V & Dante as well, thus utilizing each of theirs unique strength and weapons to slash through demon hordes, most of which are particularly easy. The game does not heavily reward the side explorations (Which are very few), thus making the game a straight forward linear demon cutting exercise. The boss fights at the end of each level are still fun, but not much challenging either. The last few levels do get very creative in terms of dialog play, twists in the story and final fights.

In the end it is what you would expect, cocky, rock smashing, demon killing Dante and Nero going through the hordes with taunts and jeers while barely taking a scratch. Some of the weapons are nicely powered up and we ll imagines. The bike weapon, along with the Devil breaker sword and coupled with the Kalina rocket launcher and Dante's moves is enough to see through this game. Play this game for some pure gory hellish fun, but don't expect to be challenged much.
