This is arguably one of the best action games I have ever laid my hands upon. In this game the player assumes the role of Dante, the demon slayer who himself is half demon and half human. Dante inherits his demonic abilities from his father, the legendary Dark Knight Sparda, who had risen to save mankind from the devils in the distant past. Dante's otherwise uneventful and normal devil-hunting life was interrupted by a mysterious lady who requires his help in order to prevent chaos that is about to be sown upon human land. Other than the out-standing graphical presentation of this game, the CGs are excellent with some very good script and dialogues. Landscape designs are stunning, worth mentioning is the design of the castle where most of the battle takes place, it is both gothic and appealing, this feature alone grants DMC a full score. A variety of rock music forms the back bone of this game. This game at one hand gives the hero Dante extreme style with bad boy attitude, some good old trash talks, and not forgetting to mention the most important element of this game, which is fast-paced, immersive, hardcore melee action together with gun blazing. Dante uses two guns and a gigantic blade which was left by his father. Battling monsters and demons is tough, and probably because of this, the designers have added an "easy" option should the player find it difficult to cope up with the pace. Hack and slash is very enjoyable and you will find yourself craving for more monster heads to crush at the end of each chapter. Gun-shooting is beautifully done, though less useful than sword play in my opinion. When you jump and shoot, Dante will descend slowly to the ground in a slow motion fashion where his entire body stammers in style. In conclusion: Simply breath-taking and amazing. This game gives a whole new definition for console action gaming. Do not hesitate, just buy it.
