Gun slinging and sword weilding action...

User Rating: 9.2 | Devil May Cry (Platinum) PS2
Devil May Cry is the story of Dante, a young half demon who takes up the job of...slaying demons of all things.
DMC is an action game in which you huide Dante through various missions to complete certain objectives in that level, and by doing that you will progress the story.
DMC allows for both gun and sword fighting styles, which allows you to have the best of both worlds. The weapons are controlled by 2 different buttons, allowing you to switch on the fly, and initiate some devestating combos.
DMC has a wide variety of both types of weapons. You begin the game with a basic sword and Dante's hand made pistols, Ebony and Ivory, but you will encounter many different weapons, such as a new, more powerful sword, some gauntlets for sword users, a shotgun and demon type energy pistol that uses Dante's devil trigger to fire (explained in the next paragraph), among other weapons.
One interesting feature is that since Dante is a half-demon, he has access to a lot of powers that full blooded demons have, but only for a limited time. Once these powers have been unlocked, there will be symbols under Dante's health bar, and depending on how many symbols you have is how long you may use Dante's devil powers. To replenish them, all you have to do is fight your enemies, or else you special items that will restore them.
A great game, and the first I owned for PS2, and I fully recommend this game to anyone who likes action games.
