Devil May Cry is a very challenging, yet enjoyable, fast-paced action adventure game.
Gameplay: Devil May Cry's combat is very well done. There is melee and ranged techniques. Both are well done, although melee is really all you will use (other than to fill up your special moves). So ya, combat is very fun, play control and collision detection are both perfectly done. I'll tell you now if you don't already know, this game is VERY challenging. Don't expect a walk in the park. A few downsides, the camera can be very annoying at times (especially when in combat). Also, the fact that you can't control what target your attacking can sometimes cause problems (your death). Other than that, the gameplay is great.
Sound: I am not a huge fan of this games soundtrack. Actually, other than one or two songs, I didn't really like any of it. Don't worry though, it doesn't really affect the gameplay. The sound effects however are done very well.
Extras/Unlockables: This game has four difficulty levels. There are also lots of moves and upgrades to unlock for your character and weapons. As you move on through the difficulty levels (which get impossible tough) you also unlock new characters (costumes). So although the game is kinda short, it makes up for it with the extra challenge and unlockable content.
To sum things up, if your a fan of action games, you HAVE to try this game. Even if you think you might not like the challenge. Once you finish it, you get a very awesome feeling!
