Before I begin, I must say that I played God of War before I picked up DMC. (Yeah, I'm late in the game.) Devil may cry is a very overrated game. The graphics are nice, without being dazzling. The musical score is mediocre and the voice acting could have been better. The game is so repetitious and simple. There isn't much variety in terms of the combo system. The game does not have any multiplayer (i.e., co-op), nor does it have any online connectivity. There are no extra's to speak of and the game is very short. Expect 5-8 hours on "Hard Mode." All you do in the game is go from point A to point B; kill a few baddies; leave said area; and then rinse and repeat. Not my idea of an entertaining and revolutionary game. Rent it if you really need to make the devil cry.
