The opening sequence is superb, with a big battle between Dante and Trish. Once at Melee Island everything is eerily quiet until the place is invaded with bizarre demon puppets. They have knives and blades that they will use to slice and stab you with, if given a chance - so despatch them with speed before they can react. Here, the camera angles are fixed in usually large rooms, providing plenty of room to see where you need to be. Hallways and smaller rooms still exist, too. Given the extraordinary level of graphic design, the various camera angles produce tension, subtlety in moods, fear and create great surges of adrenaline in every player, and help to form a nearly perfect world. Devil May Cry is an extremely original and authentic game. Anyone that likes the Resident Evil Series will undoubtedly enjoy Devil May Cry. I wouldnt recommend it for the faint heart or those with a weak stomach. The sound and audio effects in Devil May Cry are crucial to the creation of this devilish environment. When alone wandering through the solitude castle the music is low, footsteps echo and Dante’s breaths are harsh, but when one enters an action scene; the music speeds up remarkably causing the environment and emotions to really heat up. The game is littered with guts and brains without a skull. Very actionable is how I would describe the Devil May Cry and I love it!
