The game has clearly issues already stated, but the true essence of Diablo still in the game.
Secondly, the DRM is not that bad if you think about it. It keeps everything in flow; you can switch between "Single Player" to multiplayer with a single click. Of course they had to give up the offline campaign to do this; otherwise it would not be possible. A lot people might be complain about this aspect of the game, but the truth is, that the game was made to begin with to be an always online game, like they did with StarCraft II. Besides, i do not understand, people have internet to write in the internet how much they hate the game and complain about it, but they cannot play the game? If you did not have an internet connection you would not be able to complain about it in the first place.
The story in the game is decent, has some interesting twists in the game, the story starts telling you that a great evil is approaching and that is related to a star falling out of the sky. Every character you encounter seems to be alive in the game and has a purpose. The voice acting is actually good. Every character you choose has its own dialogue to the story which i think is pretty cool. The game was translated in 7 different languages (i know that for people this might not be something important, but i think that is a great generosity letting different cultures enjoys the game in their own home language).
Graphics are not that impressive, i was actually expecting something more from the game engine. I overhaul my computer because i thought this game was going to be a powerhouse, apparently i was mistaken.
Gameplay is hack n' slash style, which was to be expected. The other diablo games are the same, so this one had to be the same. I like what they did with the skills, it is a very organized system in which a different type of skill is already bound to the number or different clicks (1,2,3,4, right, left), that way you don't have to be selecting and trying combinations with the numbers in the keyboard. This aspect of the game is very important in the gameplay, because depending what different skills you selected, is the strategy you are going to follow. Skills have upgrades (Runes), but the trick is that you can only select one for each skill. You can have a totally useless character if you do not have a good combination of skills. This helps to not be able to use all the skills at the same time, so you have to be careful about the skills you equip. The system in weapons and armor is pretty simple, it has statistics that tell you automatically which armor or weapons is for you or tell you if the new item is better for you. Some items are bound to a specific kind of character.
Difficulty, i would call it "Just Right" because a lot depends in the character you choose to be, and the strategy you follow, for example, a lot of players said that the last boss it is somewhat difficult, but some say it was a piece of cake. The difficulty in the game depends on how you choose to play the game, even choosing multiplayer adds difficulty or sometimes playing alone seems to be a lot more difficult. The game spikes in difficulty after finishing every Act, even if you finish the game you will come back to the beginning with higher spike difficulty.
Overall have been playing the game for more than 20 hours, and i enjoy the game very much. I guess a lot depends on what you expect, to me the game just feels right. Have an always internet connection in my home, and i do not plan to play the game in other location, so the DRM is not a problem. If you do not like the game, just stop playing it, i know you already spent $60.00, make it a valuable lesson, and buy games after you try them first, or wait for the reviews before buying; and please do not make bad press, so the people that actually enjoy the game can keep playing it.
