The most disappointing title of all time
The game seemed great at first, graphics are great and the fighting animations are smooth and fluid just like you would expect from a Diablo title. I was happy at first, finding rare items got me excited again. The early stages of the game were very fun and addicting. Then about 30 hours later, you hit level 60 and that's when disappointment enters this equation.
Once you hit level 60 and you are finished with Hell mode you enter Inferno! This is where the game really begins! I say to myself. Ok, inferno Act 1 is hard at first, I get that. Go back to hell, grind a little bit and hope to find some upgrades. Not possible at that point in time. No upgrades to be found. Not ever. Okay, I'll use the gold auction house and use my in game currency to find upgrades. I start looking around the AH with some excitement and then realize that any upgrade at all is going to cost millions of gold. WHAT? I only have 100K gold! Oh no! What do I do?
Well I'll tell you what Blizzard expects you to do, they expect you to go to the real money auction house and spend a few grand on upgrades, since anything good costs $250. That's what they are trying their best to force you to do, if you wish to advance in the game.
It is perfectly clear that this game is nothing short of a quick money grab by a very greedy corporation with no shame. They try to say that the AH is only there as a convenience and to weed out the black market, but you are required to use the AH if you wish to advance. At first you could load up gold find gear and get some gold, but they saw that taking away from the real money AH and nerfed all gold finding.
Now the only way to get gold is to get 305% magic find gear pre buff and anything less than 250% will result in only finding terrible gear. 99% of rare drops are horrible, horrible gear. You will never find an upgrade for yourself, you can only hope to find little pieces that will go for 100K on the AH to someone else and eventually accumulate the millions of gold you need for your upgrades.
It's very similiar to a hobo rummaging the city for empty cans, even though those cans are only worth 5 cents a piece, eventually he might get enough cans and cash them in and be able to buy a meal or some booze.
2.5 months later and there is still no PvP and no word on when it could be coming. This is unacceptable since PvP is the most fun you can have with these types of games. Jay Wilson, dictator/lead designer, has informed us that it's only fun to play 4v4 team death match and that's all the PvP we are going to get.
Right now, there is no end game, looking at the auction house IS the end game.
This is easily the most disappointing release of ALL TIME!
Blizzard and Activision are nothing but dirty, greedy, scumbags and their games should be avoided.
