This game has been around a long time but the quality has kept it's heart for over 15 years. The gameplay is solid and the story is not very good. Pretty much when I started the game I was sent instantly to a new world. I met this blue elephant (who talks like he's Indian, I think it's racist.) who told me that I have to travel across four worlds racing cute characters to win trophies to stardom. Once getting stardom you have to race this giant pig that is difficult to beat.

Looking at this game you would think that it is very easy, but it proves to be wrong. I played this in 2011, and this being a game that is 17 years old...the controls were very slippery. It takes a lot of getting used to, there are not advanced drifting systems like in Mario Kart Wii. It is all standard, when you drift you drift the same way every time. When you press the "a" button, you go just as fast as a top speed with every character. It is very different than what I am used to.

The part I like about this game is that you get to go to so many creative worlds and explore them with either karts, hover-watercrafts, or planes. Karts are pretty standards. Hover-watercrafts are very hard to steer and I don't even want to get used to it. The planes are pretty easy to master, but it definitely takes time. The planes are the most fun, the scenery is brilliant (for the n64) and it is very fun. I think that the plane is the best part of the game.

I have not beaten the game and I could not find all four worlds so I am going to be done. I like it though. Thanks for reading. Every time I play it reminds me of being an 8 year old again and I love every second of it.
