The sheer joy that Die Hard Trilogy takes in the merciless slaughter of human beings makes it endlessly entertaining.
One of them is a isometric third person shooter where you fight through countless terrorists in an office building. The gameplay is simplistic, but alot of fun as you can use the radar to sneak up on enemies and there are hundreds of enemies to kill. Oftentimes, one grenade kills about 10 enemies and their screams fill the air. The catchphrases get annoying but they add to the overall campiness factor of the game. .
The next game is a light gun game (though it is not compatible with the Namco light gun, which is the only one I have) where you control a crosshair and shoot countless terrorists in an airport, as you shoot rockets and grenades at your enemies, the level falls apart around you and your enemies explode in fountains of blood. This is the least deep of the games, but probably the most entertaining in short bursts. .
The last game is a driving game where you follow an arrow and drive in bombs to deactivate them (it doesn't make sense, but it is awesome) and then you race a truck, this driving game is constantly crazy because you are always rushing for the bombs, however, this game gets pretty old pretty fast. Die Hard Trilogy is a game filled to the brim with unnecessary explosions and death of countless enemies and civilians in every game there is in here. Though I don't think that Die Hard Trilogy will reinvent your idea of what a video game could be but you will constantly be entertained by the needless violence and over the top action. You can buy it for cheap and it is a great purchase. Highly recommended.
