A good game if you have friends to play with but not to fun if you play it by yourself.

When I saw a Digimon game for Gamecube I really wanted to get it. Now that I have it, it dosen't have everything I thought it would have for a one player experience. It took me two days to unlock everything in the one player mode. Then there wasn't anything else to do accept play the multiplayer mode. The gameplay is exactly what it's supposed to be. A fighting game where you play as Digimon characters. You can get some characters such as Omnimon and Balck Agumon as well as be some old characters as Patamon and Gabumon. During battle you must collect blue orb that you get by bashing your opponent in order to digivolve and use some special moves. You can also get items during battle which can change the tide in favor of you or against you. With one, a random event happens such as all players get to automatically digivolve or the Phantomon appears which floats around the level and if you get hit you lose all your health. With other you get more power or all your health back. I feel this game has good graphics. The stages have been well made. Some stages are simple while others have many traps and falls which can sometimes help you but most of the time, it dosen't help. The characters are also well made. They aren't all square like some games. When the characters do attacks there isn't much to them but they are sufficient. They don't need to be any more detailed than they are. The music is OK but, like in most games, you don't listen to the music because you are concentrated on the game. I feel, to a certain point, the music suits the levels. It dosen't subtract to the game but dosen't add much to the game either. Overall, the game is a good multiplayer game but not something you would want to buy if you don't know a lot of people to play it with. I think you should rent this game first before you decide if you want to buy this game or not.
