This is one of the best Digimon games I have played in a long time. It reminds me of Digimon World 2 and 3 with them being turn based and having 3 digimon partners. What I did not expect was that you can have digimon on reserve and switch them in the middle of battle. I thought that was a good improvement since you couldn't switch your digimon during battle in digimon world games and also the reserve digimon receiving xp is also fantastic because again in the digimon world games the only way a digimon can receive xp was for them to be in the battle like how Pokemon does it. When I found out that wasn't the case for Digimon Story it was awesome. Leveling up my digimon will be a little easier now which is awesome since I'll be able to save a little time with the leveling up process.
All in all Digimon Story is a vast improvement compared to the Ps1 Digimon World games and especially since this game has a new game plus mode. I can tell already that I will be playing this game nonstop until I receive Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Even when I do get the game I will still go back and forth between this game and Naruto for the next month at the very least.
This is an awesome game you'll love it if you're into turn based games. Also if you're able to tolerate the fact that it's only English sub. I don't really care that it's English subs only but everyone has their own preference. Of course if you like Digimon you will definitely love this game for sure.
