Kind of like Digimon World, except you control where your Digimon goes. It starts off so hard, harder than DMW2.

This is pretty much the only game in the series where YOU can control your Digimon's movement. You fight like in Jak or Grand Theft Auto where you have unbridled freedom. But all is not well, as ravenous evil Digimon pile up on you in no time at inconvient times, it takes forever, don't play this game unless you have 4 hours to blow. No storyline, I was expecting a continuation of 3, since 1 and 2 were linked. But it doesn't need a storyline, it has weapons, battle action, and much much chaos. If you are going to play this game, you better be on your guard and bring a map in dungeons. It's a true RPG Adventure, so buckle up...
