The first notable difference in this sequel is that the backgrounds are now pre rendered, unlike the original that had 3D backgrounds. This however, is not the only diffrence. The game has a much more arcade feel to it. For example, you pick up points for kills and combos that help you obtain better weapons. Initially, I didn't like this new feel to the game but it grew on me and was a worthy addition to the gameplay. As expected, the graphics, now stationary, are great and the character animation and dinosaur animation is as good as any game in the genre. The story, despite the added arcade feel, is just as strong as the original and the two mix together well to create a very worthy sequel indeed. I always judge a game by the number of times I play it through to the end, and I have lost count on this game. The story keeps you engrossed and the action is brilliant. Fighting is not hard and you can find yourself just staying in one area to blast as many raptors as you can. This game is great fun and engrossing at the same time. Go and buy it!!!! (Shame I'm writing in 2004 when the game is probably not even produced anymore, but hey, if you still have a playstation one and still for that matter play on it, try and get your hands on this gem of a game at a car boot sale or something...)
