DINO CRISIS? i think this game copied the name of a greater series.
This game is far of from the atmosphere, plot, and way of the originals. The 1st and 2nd were great. It started of in a facility overrun by dinosaurs, which were actually scary. Then it went to the jungle, with a much more variety of dinosaurs, and a cool environment, more fast pace action, and still scary. Then it went into the future, with unfamiliar characters, in space, fighting alienated dinosaurs with powers, and having jetpacks, hi tech guns and such.
Not only does this game betray the originals way of survival horror, but its a bad game on its own. The enemies are very tacked on. Dinosaurs that use powers? in an abandoned spaceship? nothing that would impress anybody. The combat is extremely fast. and irritating.
The camera is the worst in th game. The camera just wants to hide enemies respawning, most likely at least. The camera only changes by where your character is, so its kinda confusing and surprising for it to change the whole perspective of a fight.
The new guns and gadgets just ruin the game. They give you an extreme advantage over anything. There are giant over exaggerated electricity guns and wasps that are projectile guns.
The only good thing about dino crisis is the graphics. It is different from the atmosphere of the others. Things are to shiny, but are good. the dinosaurs are nice looking, and the cutscenes are beautiful. But thats all this game is.
I only hope shinji mikami will see it clear and wipe this game of its name and make a new dino crisis 3 himself, and not by amatuers.
This game is the weak link in the great series.
