Ok, first the good, which there isn't much of. The water color-esque textures can be quite nice, though this is crippled by low poly assets. Regardless, it does capture the feel of the Gurney books. Also good, is the main character's animations. He runs and jumps quite fluidly and his combo moves, once all are unlocked, look especially sweet. In fact, they look so good it is a shame that they aren't in a better title. With the exception of a few dinosours, however, the other characters in this game have stiff and lifeless animations. The game design is awful. It's as if they made an effort to make it tedious and dull. The dialogue is about as bad as it gets...long winded and pointless. The quests are all fetch item X and return it to character x. This concept was kind of cool in 1986. The sound is also rediculously bad, so much so that I turned it off. I played through the game with my 8 year old son, who did really like it, in hopes that it would eventually get better...It never did. Stay away from this game unless you have a young child who really, really, really loves dinosaurs.
