good game if u have the right settings
DoC has a bunch of traditional FF traits, and has just as epic a story as any other. Keep in mind i played this game on hard mode, and without the auto-aim function. Doing this is definitly key in completely enjoying this game, it makes the game more challenging and harder, but not too hard and just right. The graphics are decent enough, and the CG movies are phenomenal but few. One thing i was really impressed with was the sound, all of the gun fire sounds good, and the soundtrack is befitting a FF game. Probably the best feature of this game is the gun modification system, it goes very indepth, which reminds me of RE:4's, and thats very good company.
Cons:
The one thing that should have been different was that the game was just too linear. I think it should have been more free-roaming and secret filled. Another thing i disliked about the game was Vincent's melee attacks. They were the same throughout the game and i think you should've been able to upgrade your gold glove thingy and add one more move to the combo each time.
Finally: Just keep in mind that this is not a classic FF game, its just a third/first person shooter with the same background story and characters as FFVII, both of which i think are a very good combo. JUst make sure you play the game on hard mode (which isn't very hard), and without the auto aim function (which makes aiming and getting critical hits easier and funner). Do that, and im sure you will enjoy DoC thoroughly.
