If only the gameplay were better this game could have been a masterpiece.

I have never played Final Fantasy VII, but this game looked to good to pass up (ecspecially with all the hype about FFVII). Now the actual game itself is just o.k. Nothing special just a VERY average shooting game. In each stage you literally run around and shoot enemies. Thats really the whole gameplay point of view of the game. But this game has a lot more to offer. It has good graphics and amazing CG cut scenes. It also has cool characters and a true and meaningful story. I mean come on this IS a Final Fantasy game. The actual gameplay may not be good, but Square Enix always has a great story to tell in all their games. Overall, this game has to many annoying things to make it a true masterpiece: its extremely short (only 8 hours long) and boring gameplay. But I do recommend it mainly to all the fans of Final Fantasy VII or to the fans of the Final Fantasy series. It has that amazing story and great graphics you would excpect from a Final Fantasy game. So you definitely need to at least rent it or buy it. Trust me, you won't regret renting it, or buying it (only if your a true fan of the series, like me).
