Great graphics, decent music and a captivatingly confusing story. Other than the actual gameplay itself, this game...

I enjoyed this game a lot, actually. I loved the "Advent Children" CG sequences and the actual in-game graphics. But the gameplay lacked a real feeling of freedom. I liked the music a little bit, but it could've been way better. The story was real good, but the way it was orchestrated seemed lacky and mixed up. So it was kind of hard putting all the pieces together. The cut-scenes were not theatrical at all. It seemed like a low-budget movie with poor directing. But regardless of these obvious flaws, I still love the game. It's real good considering it's Square Enix's first RPG Shooter. I can see they took many good elements from other successful games like "Devil May Cry" for inspiration. I'd play this game again any day. And I don't regret purchasing it at all. Now I know so much more about my favorite FF7 character. Oh, and one thing I really loved about this game was the transformation he has at the end, and especially when he actually spoke with Cloud and the others. I loved how they showed interaction with the other supporting characters and the other people and soldiers around the game. For instance, each individual soldier you spoke with had their different goals and interests. I've always liked that. Besides, actually teaming up with Cloud, Tifa, Barret and Cid along with Red and human-form Cait Sith was just amazing. It gives you almost the same incredible feeling back when FF7 first came out. A definite recomendation for a general gamer--especially a fan.
