What it technically is… (FF7:DOC)

While playing DOC, it’s difficult to decide whether it’s good or bad. Its graphics are astounding, its game-play is blasé (everything you’d expect in a “standard” shooting game) and it’s hard not to mark it as a “5-6.” But we must remind ourselves that this is a product of FF, where gameplay is not as much an issue as the storyline. Most people could agree that RPGs games are more strategic, luck-based and don’t require any true gaming skills. Although it’s a different genre of gaming in itself, DOC hasn’t lost its touch in delivering FF exclusive character-development and storyline.
